Adding and Modifying Characters
Adding characters to the TTH web page refers to listing your in game
characters who are associated to your web page name, and any listing
any information you wish about your character.
Having your characters added to the Ten Ton Hammer (TTH) web page has
several benefits.
- It is necessary to have your characters who are in the guild
listed so that you can be given credit for donations to the
guild bank. If the guild banker does not know what web page name that
your in-game character is associated with, he or she cannot associate
your donation to your in game character.
- Members will have a harder time knowing who your in-game
character is when they communicate with you.
- It is needed for accounting by the leaders of the guild, for
example, in there is a contest or award associated with your character,
the guild leaders may not be able to give you the award if they don’t
know who your web page name is.
- Withdrawals from the guild bank may not be sent to your
character if you request an item, since the guild banker will not know
what your in-game character’s names are.
Note: Please note that only characters
who are on the Sarlona server should be entered, and any characters who
are not members of the TTH guild on the Sarlona server should NOT be
listed. This is because we wish to respect your privacy, and we
wish to avoid any confusion.
Adding New Characters
To add a character to your listed characters in the TTH web page, you
need to have already registered on the TTH web page. You have
the option of listing your characters when you register (up to 4),
explained here, or you can add your characters later.
If you are guild member, please add all characters you have who are in
the TTH guild on Sarlona to the web page so that we can properly
administrate the guild and web site.
To add a character after you have already registered with the TTH web
page, use the following steps:
- Select the “Characters/Settings” button on the top of the web
page, after you are logged on.
- Select the “Add New Character” button located at the bottom of
the page that appears.
- Enter the character’s name, then select (using the pull – down
menu) Dungeons and Dragons Online, then select (using the pull – down
menu) the Sarlona server.
- Select “Add Character” button.
- Your character will now be entered, and visible to all who are
registered on the TTH web page.
- Repeat steps 2-4 until all characters you wish to add are added.
Editing Your Characters
Editing your characters refers to adding information about your
character, such as adding a thumbnail picture of your character, a
biography, or in game statistics and other information. This is
not required by the TTH guild, but does add color and interest to your
character.
To edit your character, use the following steps:
1. Select the “Characters/Settings” button on
the top of the web
page, after you are logged on.
2. Select the “Edit” button next to your
characters name. If
you wish to delete a character, click the “x” button instead.
3. You will have 5 boxes which can be checked
- General character Info – This is for your characters name,
server, image, guild associations, and a biography.
- Game Stats – This is for your basic character statistics, such as
hit points, classes, or ability scores
- Game Skills – This is for skills and your total bonus you have
with your character. Presently there are no skills that can be listed
for this game, so this choice is not functioning.
- Journal – This is for adding journal entries for your
character. Use Add Entry to enter a new entry, and Save Entry to
save it. Check (or uncheck) Private to toggle this entry being
visible to others.
- Flags & Keys – This is for flags for games which have flag
and key systems implemented. Since there are none for DDO, this
choice is not functioning.
4. General Character Info will be already
checked. Check the
box which is associated with the information you wish to add.
5. Add what information you wish to add.
6. When finished adding information for this
character, select the
arrow next to “Return to character listing”.
7. When finished editing character information,
select the
underlined “Return to Group” button at the top of the page.
